It looks like one time Yankee (A-Rod) fan Madonna is officially switching teams.The queen of pop showed up and created quite a stir at Citi Field, the new home of the New York Mets. She was celebrating Mother's Day with her children. Fans couldn't get enough of her and were snapping pics as Madge hid under her baseball cap. She was in the ultra luxury box of comedian Jerry Seinfeld, who appeared to be enjoying the new stadium. Also in Jerry's seats? CNN's Anderson Cooper.

| Trust found for Mercy | |||||||||||||||
Madonna is reportedly working on setting up a trust fund to help four-year-old Mercy James even if she fails to adopt her.The singer allegedly wants to ensure a fine upbringing of the Malawian tot even if she cannot bring her to her home.“Madonna loves Mercy. She wants to be part of her life and provide for her,” News of the World quoted a source as saying.The source added: “She wants to make sure Mercy has everything she needs in life and her dreams are fulfilled.”The Queen of Pop had been preparing to bring home Mercy but her application was rejected by a court.The 50-year-old was told prospective parents had to be resident in the African country for 18 to 24 months prior to an adoption a requirement that was waived when she adopted three-year-old David Banda in 2006.The singer later lodged an appeal to overturn the judges decision, and her legal team is currently in the middle of a battle for their client’s right to adopt in the nation.

| S&S Israel? | |||||||||||||||
After long and agonizing negotiations, pop queen Madonna has finally confirmed she will be stopping in Israel this October as part of her successful Sticky and Sweet Tour.The singer will put on a one-night performance, but her trip to Israel will last a few days during which she will visit various sites.According to speculations, Madonna will be landing in Tel Aviv a week before her show and stay in Israel during Yom Kippur. The 51-year-old artist’s visit to Israel was not part of the original plan. The Sticky and Sweet Tour was launched last year and saw jam-packed halls around the world.After the tour Madonna announced that she planned to start working on a new record, but rising demand from her fans around the world led the singer to extend her tour to European locations this summer.It should be noted that Madonna has wanted to perform in Israel a number of times in recent years, but due to funding problems, was unable to do so.Even now, there is a chance that the show may not go through, since Israeli promoter Shuki Weiss and German producer Marek Lieberberg are still looking for commercial sponsors to fund the costly performance. The two have been holding intensive talks with telecommunications provider Orange, but an agreement is yet to be signed.The Sticky and Sweet concert includes over two hours of Madonna singing her greatest hits from throughout her career, and a gypsy section with symbols from Judaism displayed on a large screen in the background.

| Lady Gaga on Mo | |||||||||||||||
"I was very humbled that Madonna came to the show," Gaga told MTV News on Monday. "And I had been hearing all week that she was going to come, and I was like, 'Oh, OK,' and I didn't want to talk about it or tell anyone 'cause I thought it was kind that she would want to come at all." What made it even more surprising for Gaga was that she didn't think Madonna had any idea who she was, despite her hit songs and performance on American Idol earlier this season. But what really pleased the singer was seeing that Madge made her concert a family night. "I was really excited to see that [Madonna's daughter] Lourdes was there, and that made me really happy 'cause during the show I noticed some beautiful spirit of a girl dancing," she recalled. "And I didn't know who it was and I just kept waving to her." It wasn't until the set was over that she learned that the girl was Madonna's daughter. "Then when the show was over, I said, 'Oh, there's this sweet, young girl up there, and she was dancing her pants off.' And someone said, 'Lourdes had green pants on.' And I was like, 'Oh my God, it was Lourdes and she was dancing.' It really got me going. [Madonna's] a good mom, so it's nice." Gaga will also be happy to hear that the legendary singer slipped out unnoticed. "I was hoping and praying she would get out safely," she said. "If she got spotted she would have been trampled like the queen she is."

The Supreme Court of Malawi will hear Madonna's adoption case of Mercy James, but the girl's alleged father says he wants to raise her. Malawi’s Supreme Court of Appeal adjourned indefinitely on Monday a case in which Madonna is attempting to adopt a second child from the African country. Malawi’s High Court ruled last month the U.S. pop star could not adopt a four-year-old girl, named Mercy James, because she was not a resident of Malawi. She appealed against the ruling. Malawi’s government came under fire after Madonna adopted a 13-month-old child, David Banda, in 2006, with critics accusing it of giving her special treatment by skirting laws that ban non-residents from adopting children.

High Court rejects singer’s application because she is not a resident of the country. Madonna will not be allowed to adopt a second child from Malawi, a four-year-old girl named Mercy James, the African country’s High Court ruled on Friday.The ruling will please campaigners who say authorities have given the pop star special treatment. Malawi’s government, which came under fire after Madonna adopted a 13-month-old Malawian boy, had said on Thursday it would support a second adoption.Court registrar Ken Manda told reporters the American singer’s bid to adopt Mercy had been rejected because she was not a resident of Malawi.An AIDS epidemic in the impoverished southern African country has orphaned more than one million children and Madonna has set up a charity for Malawian children. Her lawyer, Alan Chinula, said he had lodged an appeal over the ruling with the Supreme Court.“I just filed the notice of appeal this afternoon on instructions from my client,” Chinula told Reuters. “I’m currently studying the judgment so that I can come up with the grounds to appeal.”In her ruling, Judge Esimie Chombo warned against celebrity adoptions because they could lead to child trafficking.“Anyone could come to Malawi and quickly arrange for an adoption that might have grave consequences on the very children that the law seeks to protect,” she said.Malawian rights groups, who accused the government of skirting residency laws when Madonna adopted David Banda in 2006, also opposed the latest adoption attempt.Rights activist Mavuto Bamusi said the decision was a “defining moment for child protection” but urged the pop star to continue her charity work.Madonna’s charity, Raising Malawi, plans to build a multi-million dollar school for girls in Chikhota village, near Lilongwe.

| Mo denies leaving kids | |||||||||||||||
Looks like pop superstar Madonna isn’t too happy about a report in UK tabloid The Sun that claims she and ex-husband Guy Ritchie have reached a deal that would give him the kids for three months this summer while she’s off on her extended concert tour.And what does a celebrity of Madge’s stature do in this day and age? Heads straight to Twitter.com, of course…Using the account of her close friend and business partner Guy Oseary, Madonna struck out, not at The Sun, but at Perez Hilton, who wrote about the story on his site.“@perez hilton what is this rubbish about me dumping my children off for the summer while Im on tour? They go where i go. -M”Perez quickly responded by posting her denial. And rather than be upset for being called out or try to pick a fight with the singer, he wrote, “Madonna talked to us! AGAIN! We still do a happy dance every time!”
