The organisers of the Madonna show have decided to allocate 5000 additional tickets which will be released on general sale May 19. Reportedly, the demand for the precious tickets has been so great that a decision was made to release a further batch. There has been no comment from the organisers whether the increase of capacity will bear on the safety of the people who are in the pit.Tickets can now be purchased nationwide from Ticketpro or online, at www.ticketpro.comWhen Madonna first announced at the beginning of May that she will perform in Sofia, the news became a complete sensation.Madonna’s first ever concert in Bulgaria will be on Saturday August 29 2009 in Sofia at 8pm at Vassil Levski National Stadium. The concert, one of the entertainment highlights of the year, is expected to draw tens of thousands of fans not just from Bulgaria but from all over South East Europe, proving a stiff test for Bulgarian police.The most expensive tickets, for those seeking to stay inside the Golden Circle just metres from Madonna, will cost 200 leva. People willing to stand in front of the stage will pay 150 leva.The cheapest tickets, in the pit, cost 100 leva. Seat prices will vary between 110, 135 and 165 leva depending on location.Madonna’s concert in Bulgaria is part of her Sticky & Sweet Tour in Europe. She will reportedly arrive with a crew of 250 people, and enough equipment to make her concert the biggest show Bulgarian fans have ever seen.

 

Paul Oakenfold has described the new material he has recorded with Madonna as "cutting edge sounds combined with classic Madonna".

The pair spent a week together in the studio last month producing songs for the singer's upcoming greatest hits package. Oakenfold confirmed that the new material will be previewed when he opens for Madonna on the second leg of her Sticky & Sweet world tour, which kicks off in London on July 4.
The DJ will also play at the Wireless Festival before supporting Madonna on European dates in Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Russia and Eastern Europe.

 

To promote his brand new album 'My Oracle Lives Uptown', William Orbit gave a long interview to UK radio station BBC which turns out quite a career retrospective, so naturally Madonna is mentioned several times. Orbit talks about the recording sessions of Ray Of Light, how they became friends with Madonna during the process, and more importantly, he reveals that he sent in a few new tracks for Madonna's latest project (the new greatest hits album, but he did not name it), but Madonna did not use them. He admits that Madonna is into a different kind of dancy sound now, in the vein of Britney's Blackout album (especially 'Piece Of Me') and her own Music by Mirwais (which fits DJ Frank E's electro pop hint), but Orbit himself cannot create sounds like that. He says they are still friends though and "never say never" regarding if he'd ever work with her again, and calls Madonna a very talented musician.

 

The father of Madonna’s Brazilian toy boy has confirmed the singer will wed his son Jesus in a secret Kabbalah ceremony.

Luis Heitor Pinto da Luz says he’s not sure if the symbolic nuptials will entitle the 22-year-old model to any of the star’s mega-millions but says he is happy to welcome in Madge to the family.Luz told a Brazilian magazine: ‘The kabbalah ceremony [in New York that] will link up my son Jesus Luz and Madonna only confirms that he is extremely happy.’ ‘I don’t know if there will, in fact, be a real marriage between Madonna and my son. It will be a type of ritual, but I do not know kabbalah [or if the ceremony] will have legal validity,’ he said. But he says he’s been won over by his future daughter-in-law.‘I’ve spoken by phone with Madonna - in French, because my English is not fluent - and she appears to me to be a normal and polite person,’ he says.‘She is feminine. I don’t feel she is a harsh person.

Madonna’s lawyers are confident that the singer would succeed in her appeal against a ruling that crushed her dreams of adopting Malawian tot Mercy James.Yesterday, the African country’s highest court heard arguments from the singer’s legal team over her bid to adopt the four-year-old from an orphanage in the village of Bvumbwe, The Telegraph reported.

Following yesterday’s hearing, the 50-year-old’s Malawian lawyer, Alan Chinula, said he was “hopeful” the appeal would succeed.The hearing took place as James Kambewa, 24, who claims to be the girl’s father, said he would fight to raise her himself. Last month, a lower court had rejected Madonna’s request on the grounds that foreigners seeking to adopt in Malawi must have been resident in the country for at least 18 months.The residency restriction was waived when Madonna adopted four-year-old David Banda, also from Malawi, in 2006.

A source said: “They are totally besotted with each other and he’s really helped Madonna through this tough time.“Madonna was devastated when the adoption was rejected but now she wants to lavish some attention on Jesus and she’s keen to make sure they have a solid relationship.”Earlier this year, Jesus - who met Madonna when they were starring in a sexy photoshoot for American magazine W last December - converted from Catholicism to Kabbalah, a mystical offshoot of Judaism which Madonna follows, to show how serious he was about the singer.He has taken several classes to learn about the religion’s teachings, and has also been seen visiting the Kabbalah Centre with Madonna and her children Lourdes, 12 and adopted three-year-old David Banda.It had been reported the pair split during Madonna’s attempt to adopt Mercy in Malawi, but they have been seen enjoying a series of intimate dinner dates since her return to New York last month.Despite the 28-year age gap, Madonna’s children Lourdes, David and eight-year-old Rocco are said to be happy with their mother’s new relationship.A source told Britain’s The Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Lourdes teases Jesus by calling him ‘The Babysitter’, because he is so young.
