Madonna’s “Celebration” enters straight to #1 in the Germany.
Madonna secured her 11th number one album in Britain on Sunday Madonna’s “Celebration” enters straight to #1 in the German album chart.
It’s the 11th time Madonna is an album charts topper in Germany.
The album is also:
#1 in Ireland, Italy and the UK
#2 in Belgium (Flanders) and #7 in Wallonia
#2 in The Netherlands and Hungary
#9 in Australia
Finally to promote the release of Celebration, Madonna will be Ryan Seacrest’s guest on his radio show: On-Air with Ryan Seacrest tomorrow on 102.7 KIIS-FM between 10am and 14pm EST.

Lots of Madonna fans were really excited when they heard Madonna was supposed to host and perform on Saturday Night Live. The woman hasn't shown a sense of humor in years, so this would have been a perfect opportunity to prove she is still human.Madonna's Saturday Night Live appearance would have been a perfect opportunity to promote Celebration, a worthwhile greatest hits set that nobody seems to know about because Madonna doesn't believe in promoting her albums anymore. What went wrong?A source tells us that in order to perform two songs (one would have been an acoustic 'Live to Tell"), Madonna needed far more rehearsal time on SNL's stage than they would have allowed. She also allegedly refused to rehearse on a Friday for some reason. Eventually, SNL decided that she wasn't worth the trouble and Madonna, being the absolute perfectionist, decided that it wasn't worth it either.Instead, fans will be able to "enjoy" Madonna's appearance on David Letterman this Wednesday. We can already predict what she'll talk about: Kaballah, kids, Michael Jackson, Israel, and Lady Gaga. Oh, she might even talk about the Celebration album!

Madonna secured her 11th number one album in Britain on Sunday when her greatest hits collection 'Celebration' shot to the top of the charts - equalling Elvis Presley's record.
The pop diva's collection of 36 hits spanning her lengthy career knocked Muse's 'The Resistance' from the number one position in its debut week, the Official UK Charts Company said.
The singer has now matched Elvis Presley's record of 11 number one albums for a solo artist in Britain, and is four behind The Beatles who hold the all-time record of 15 top-selling albums, according to the company, which compiles the weekly rundown.
Madonna also becomes the most successful female solo artist of all time in Britain with the most weeks at the top of the album charts - 29 - the most number one singles - 13 - and the most chart doubles for topping the singles and album charts simultaneously - four, the company said.
With 77.000 copies CELEBRATION enters directly at #1 in the UK Album chart giving to M the opportunity to break another record: 11th album to reach #1! She equals Elvis! Only The Beatles did better (15 albums). CELEBRATION goes straight to #1 also in Italy!.

Following the steps of Tokio, more that 150 dancers and hundreds of fans gattered on the streets in Bangkok, Thailand Thailand to celebrate the relese of "Celebration".(September 26 2009).
Superstar Madonna will visit the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, Wednesday, Sept. 30 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
This will mark the music icon’s eighth appearance on the CBS broadcast — she was last interviewed on the show on Jan. 11, 2007, with prior sit-down interviews on Oct. 20, 2005, Nov. 11, 2003, Nov. 3, 2000 and her memorable appearance on March 31, 1994. She also made a brief cameo appearance Feb. 13, 1995, when she delivered Valentine’s candy and flowers to Letterman. On Dec. 28, 1998, she appeared in a taped celebrity Top Ten List of the “Top Ten Things Beautiful Women Love About Dave.”
Warner Music Group has completed a deal with YouTube (Google) that will bring back music videos for Green Day, U2, Madonna and other artists to the video-sharing site from which they were removed in December, according to two executives familiar with the talks.

It seems Michael Jackson may not have been quite as fond of Madonna as you might expect from her moving tribute at last week’s VMAs.
In a nine-year-old filmed interview with his friend Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, due to be shown on TV this week, Michael claims the affection was purely one-sided.….
“I think she (Madonna) likes shock value and she knows how to push buttons on people. I think she was sincerely in love with me and I was not in love with her. She did a lot of crazy things. I knew we had nothing in common.
She is not sexy at all. I think sexy comes from the heart in the way you present yourself.
People admire you and know you are wonderful and great because they are jealous, because they wish they were in your shoes. Madonna is one of them. She is jealous. She is a girl, a woman and I think that’s what bothers her…
I get the fainting and adulation and she doesn’t.”
Certanly harsh words of a man who never accepted his homosexuality, acused two times of sexual abuse to children and a man who in the last 15 years destroyed his carrer, fame, money and popularity, time always tell, who´s jealous Michael?

Madonna's "Celebration" album hit the stores of Mexico on Tuesday and to mark the event Warner Music Mexico came out with a cool numbered lithograph of the album cover as a nice piece of promotional memorabilia.
Here the images of the fabulous promo only Celebration box set where you can put in all your Madonna cd's. This amazing item is unfortunately not for sale, but released as a promo by Warner Music NL.

The UK release of "Celebration" was advertised this morning in the UK press with a simple image of the iconic cover designed by Mr. Brainwash and "The Ultimate Hits Collection" as the headine.

Amazing scenes in downtown Tokyo as hundreds of dancers set up a flash mob to mark the release of Madonna's new record yesterday, September 22.
The surprise event was organised by Sticky & Sweet Tour dancer Takahiro Ueno, who told Splash News he had been preparing the event to mark the launch of "Celebration" for months: "For practice we had just one day because we used more than 150 dancers but I have been preparing it for two months."
The party got started in the streets of Shinjuku, Tokyo shortly after 2 PM when large speakers began blaring a medley of Madonna hits. A crowd gathered to see what the commotion was before five break dancers appeared on the high-street showing of their moves. They were followed by a group of five girls in red ballet tutus and leotards. More than a hundred other dancers then appeared out of the crowd and joined in the tightly choreographed routine.
They cleared as Takahiro took centre stage dressed in a black hat, shades and a waistcoat.
The snake-hipped performer moonwalked around the street and performed several sommersaults for the crowd.
A group of drag-queens joined in the rave in the last moments before the entire group left the scene and scattered - leaving bystanders wondering what had just happened.

Madonna is looking to equal Elvis Presley’s total of 11 UK album number ones this weekend with her new retrospective Celebration opening up a narrow lead at retail. The double set is presently a few thousand sales ahead of its nearest rival, fellow Warner Bros release The Resistance by Muse, which debuted at one last Sunday. If Celebration remains in front it will place Madonna in joint second place with Presley behind The Beatles with the most UK chart-topping albums. Her tally of 10 album number ones dates back to 1984’s Like A Virgin and also takes in the Evita soundtrack, which features both her and other artists. Madonna’s album leads another bumper week of new releases with four other newly-issued albums among the 10 biggest sellers of the week so far. These include Dizzee Rascal’s new Dirtee Skank-issued album Tongue N’ Cheek, which features his three number one singles, Casablanca/Island act Mika’s second album The Boy Who Knew Too Much and Pearl Jam’s Island debut Backspacer.
Is Madonna making a return to Saturday Night Live? Reports are that the Queen of Pop will be appearing on SNL some time this season! She’s apparently set to make her return after 16 years and word has it she’ll likely be performing. Though execs are trying to have her do both, perform and host.
